Braxton Evans is a litigation attorney representing businesses, lenders, and property owners in complex disputes across Texas. He brings a pragmatic, results-oriented approach to every matter — focusing on efficient resolution while positioning cases for success at trial when necessary.
Braxton's path to law was shaped by his father, who graduated from Texas Southern University Law School in 1980. Following in those footsteps, Braxton earned his J.D. from the University of Houston Law Center thirty-one years later — bringing his own distinct approach to the profession he grew up watching. His courtroom philosophy, which he calls "Legal Jujitsu," defines how he litigates: creatively redirecting an opponent's perceived strengths or a client's disadvantages to advance the case and prevail.
His 15-year practice spans the full spectrum of civil litigation, including breach of fiduciary duty, business divorce, construction defects, products liability, commercial carrier claims, premises liability, employment disputes, probate matters, family law, and landlord-tenant litigation. He manages cases from initial evaluation through resolution, developing tailored strategies that control costs while maximizing outcomes.
With experience as both first and second chair, Braxton has practiced before Texas state courts, federal district courts in the Southern District of Texas, and in arbitration proceedings. His background spans both plaintiff and defense-side work, giving him a thorough understanding of the full lifecycle of complex commercial disputes.
Known for his responsiveness and disciplined approach, Braxton works closely with clients to align legal strategy with their business objectives — delivering practical solutions without unnecessary expense or delay.
A native Houstonian, Braxton remains actively involved in his community through church service at the Fifth Ward Church of Christ, volunteering with the Houston Food Bank, and local charitable initiatives throughout the Greater Houston area. Outside the office, he enjoys recreational sports with friends and traveling with family.
